Under general guidance of the Production Manager, are responsible for move in, set up, operations, and tear down of sound and lighting systems for Total ProductionsPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:Total Productions:<ul><li>Working with the Total Productions sound and lighting company for installation of equipment on the stage.</li><li>Having a general knowledge of audio/video set up and strike.</li><li>Loading and unloading of equipment vehicles and entertainer equipment trucks.</li><li>Assembling screens and running and taping cables.</li><li>Providing general cleanup of stage and performance area.</li><li>Setting and striking the pipe and drape for the stage.</li><li>Having a basic knowledge of lighting and being familiar with the names of the cables and fixtures and their uses.</li><li>Hanging and positioning lights, building trusses, and running out cables.</li><li>Having a basic knowledge of audio and hanging PA systems.</li><li>Having a general understanding of video and assisting the video company in building screens and scaffolding and setting projectors.</li><li>Setting up hard wood sets and assisting with any modifications as needed.</li><li>Operating a spotlight or video camera during the performance.</li><li>Operating a forklift for lifting and moving of equipment (must be certified to drive forklift).</li><li>Working with Stage Manager at performance site.</li><li>Submitting hours of work of tech team daily to admin for payroll.</li><li>Reporting any concerns or problems with entertainment acts or performance area to the admin team</li><li>Grounds Supervisor:</li><li>Communicating and meeting with the Entertainment &amp; Attractions Supervisor throughout the year in preparation for the upcoming events</li><li>Submitting names to the production team of the eligible stagehands who can be hired to work the Fair for approval.</li><li>Scheduling Total Productions stagehands as needed for assigned shifts.</li><li>Overseeing Total Productions stagehands for move in and tear down of sound and lighting systems for Grounds and Grandstand Entertainment.</li><li>Supervising the Total Productions stagehands during their shifts and assisting them with any concerns or issues at the stages.</li><li>Verifying that stage decibel levels are within approved range.</li><li>Assisting Total Productions stagehands with entertainment move in and set up if needed.</li><li>Communicating with the Event Manager on any issues pertaining to any of the performance areas and throughout the grounds.</li><li>Submitting Total Productions payroll hours to Event Manager on a daily basis and submitting a finalised payroll sheet for the end of pay period.</li></ul>
