Job description

We are seeking an experienced PHP Developer who is passionate about coding and possesses strong logical ability. As a PHP Developer, you will be responsible for understanding and enhancing our existing code base, working on MVC frameworks, and demonstrating expertise in core programming principles.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance PHP-based web applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and propose effective technical solutions.
• Understand and modify existing code base, ensuring compatibility, scalability, and maintainability.
• Implement and maintain best practices for code documentation, version control, and software development methodologies.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following industry standards and guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and debug application issues, identifying and resolving software defects or performance bottlenecks.
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure the quality and integrity of developed features.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in PHP development, suggesting innovative solutions and improvements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a PHP Developer, with a strong track record of successfully delivering PHP-based projects.
• Extensive knowledge of PHP programming language and its core concepts.
• Proficiency in working with MVC frameworks (such as Laravel, Symphony, or CodeIgniter) and understanding their architecture and principles.
• Strong logical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into efficient code.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and their integration with PHP applications.
• Experience with database systems like MySQL, including database design, optimization, and querying.
• Excellent understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Additional Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience with RESTful APIs and web services integration.
• Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular) and templating engines (e.g., Blade, Twig).
• Understanding of security principles and best practices in web development.
• Ability to optimize and fine-tune PHP applications for performance and scalability.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
• Active involvement in the PHP development community, such as contributing to open-source projects or participating in developer forums.
