About the Role: 

We are setting up the core founding team of super talented and mission oriented engineers. As a ‘Founding Engineer - FullStack’, you will - (a) have an opportunity to significantly influence the overall technical strategy of the company, (b) own driving a complex product from the buy-in phase all the way through design, implementation & release, and (c) thoughtfully collaborate with multifunctional teams leading to value creation via tech. This role directly reports to the CTO.

As Founding Engineer, you will:

• Design system architecture and overall technical strategy for your product vertical
• Write and ship production code which would become foundation for the future
• Define domain specific data models, design and build backend APIs as well as web applications
• Manage end to end development, testing, deployment and monitoring of software using automation tools
• Mentor and guide other engineers on the team
• Closely work with the founders to build technology leading to value creation

About you

• You have 6+ years of experience consistently delivering high impact backend systems/services and web applications. 
• You have an expertise in backend development technologies using AWS cloud infrastructure and services, object oriented programming (like Java).
• You have a good understanding of various storage technologies and are able to decide when to choose No-SQL vs relational databases vs ElasticSearch.
• You are good at web development and are familiar with various front end technologies including web frameworks, Javascript, HTML, CSS
• You are excited about big, technical challenges, but at the same time are also about being very close to the business and our go-to-market strategies
• You are able to navigate scrappiness vs robustness during product designing & building stages You can effectively balance time between architecture design, coding and mentoring other team members in a way to create force multiplication
• You are always looking to learn and grow. You are curious about new possibilities with new challenges and act fast to explore them.
• You are high on ownership. You put customer interest first, act on behalf of the entire company, and never say ‘that’s not my job’.

Nice to haves:

• Previous experience of working in early stage start-ups with very fast and high responsibility setups
• Previous experience in fashion, manufacturing, supply chain or warehouse management domain
