Job Summary:

The Senior Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all procurement activities for The Wellness Shop. This role will focus on sourcing high-quality, sustainable ingredients and materials, developing and maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement practices. The Senior Procurement Manager will play a critical role in supporting our mission of promoting wellness and natural beauty through clean and sustainable products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Strategy Development:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with The Wellness Shop's business goals and sustainability objectives.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements without compromising quality.

1. Supplier Management:

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers that meet the company's quality and sustainability standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers.

1. Sourcing and Purchasing:

• Source high-quality, clean, and sustainable ingredients and materials for product development and production.
• Manage the procurement process from order placement to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
• Monitor market trends and conduct cost analysis to ensure competitive pricing.

1. Risk Management:

• Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to procurement and sustainability.

1. Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and marketing, to ensure alignment of procurement activities with overall business objectives.

1. Budget Management:

• Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices.
• Track and report on key procurement metrics and performance indicators.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the beauty, personal care, or FMCG industry.
• Strong understanding of clean and sustainable sourcing practices.
• Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and relationship management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
