Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior APIGEE Developer to join our dynamic team on a remote, contract basis. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7 years and a maximum of 10 years of work experience. This role will be instrumental in developing and managing APIs that connect various platforms, ensuring high performance and reliability while adhering to best industry practices.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven expertise in RESTful API design (Mandatory skill) to create robust and scalable solutions.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (Mandatory skill) for API development and integration tasks.
• Deep understanding of API security best practices (Mandatory skill) to protect sensitive data effectively.
• Extensive experience with Apigee Edge to manage and scale APIs across multiple platforms.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 for secure API authentication and authorization processes.
• Proficient in JSON and XML to handle data interchange formats and transformation.
• Experience with Datapower to enhance the infrastructure with API management services.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture to design flexible and modular API systems.

Experience leading API Gateway implementations and cloud deployments (preferably GCP).

Strong knowledge of SOA, microservices, and integration middleware.

Proficiency in Java, UNIX/Linux, databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

Hands-on experience in debugging, automation, and cloud hosting.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
