Job Title: Project Manager - Business Development (Building Materials)

Location: Hyderabad

Department: Sales / Business Development

Reports To: Sales Manager / Senior Management

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to drive business development efforts in acquiring new projects and clients in the building materials sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, project management, and building materials, specifically targeting builders, contractors, and construction companies. This role requires a proactive individual who will be responsible for generating new business, managing client relationships, and ensuring successful delivery of building material projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify and target potential clients, including builders, contractors, and construction companies, to generate business for the supply of building materials.
  • Client Acquisition: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring that the company’s products and services meet their building material needs.
  • Proposal Development: Work with the sales and technical teams to develop customized proposals for clients, including pricing, product offerings, and project timelines.
  • Project Management: Oversee the full project lifecycle from initial inquiry to final delivery. Ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials as per the client’s requirements and specifications.
  • Market Research: Monitor market trends, industry news, and competitors to identify new business opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Negotiation and Contracts: Lead the negotiation of contracts, pricing, and terms with clients. Ensure that all agreements are clear, fair, and mutually beneficial.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns, offering technical support, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including logistics, procurement, and technical departments, to ensure a smooth flow of operations and timely delivery of materials to clients.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Track sales activities, project progress, and business development performance. Report regularly to senior management on key metrics, including sales growth, project timelines, and customer feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Additional certifications in project management or construction management are a plus.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in business development or sales within the building materials or construction industry. Experience working directly with builders and contractors is highly preferred.
  • Skills & Knowledge:Strong knowledge of building materials, construction processes, and industry trends.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with builders, contractors, and construction companies.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience in managing client expectations, timelines, and budgets.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office, and project management tools.
  • Ability to identify business opportunities and translate them into actionable project plans.

  • Technical knowledge of building materials, including specifications, quality control, and applications.
