Job Overview

Expertia AI Sandbox is seeking a seasoned Senior SDET 4 for a full-time role based in Bangalore. This individual will have 7 to 10 years of relevant experience and play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test frameworks and ensuring the highest standards of software quality across our products. The Senior SDET 4 will collaborate closely with product and development teams to drive quality initiatives in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated expertise in Selenium (Mandatory skill), with proven background in designing scalable end-to-end automation frameworks for web applications.
• Significant hands-on experience with Java, including deep understanding of object-oriented principles and integration with automation platforms.
• Solid experience in API Testing, including designing test cases for RESTful services and verifying data across services and endpoints.
• Advanced proficiency in Test Automation, with experience creating, enhancing, and managing large test suites for continuous testing coverage.
• Hands-on familiarity with Behavior Driven Development (BDD), employing tools such as Cucumber and Gherkin for effective collaboration between teams.
• Proven expertise in Performance Testing using tools to analyze system bottlenecks, simulate user loads, and provide actionable performance insights.
• Comprehensive knowledge of testing frameworks, particularly JUnit, to write robust and maintainable automated unit and integration tests.
• Broad experience with CI/CD pipelines, integrating automation suites into build and deployment workflows for rapid feedback and continuous quality.
• Ability to mentor junior team members, providing guidance on automation best practices, tools, and effective test strategies within agile teams.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to communicate issues and solutions effectively among engineers and stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of high-quality automation frameworks for web, API, and performance testing across all product lines.
• Drive test strategy creation, scenario design, and test planning, collaborating closely with development, product, and DevOps teams.
• Ensure high coverage of critical workflows and continuously improve regression testing to minimize escaped defects in production.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring timely execution and reporting throughout development lifecycles.
• Analyze application performance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct root cause analysis to provide rapid, actionable feedback to teams.
• Advocate for, and ensure adherence to, automation best practices for maintainability, scalability, and reusability of test code.
• Keep abreast of emerging testing tools, technologies, and methodologies to recommend improvements for the existing infrastructure.
• Mentor and coach junior SDETs, supporting their technical growth and elevation of quality standards across the organization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to review requirements, provide feedback on design, and actively contribute to improving application reliability and user experience.
