Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Data Tester with expertise in Unix and SQL to ensure the quality and reliability of data systems and processes. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in data validation, testing, and troubleshooting, with strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test cases, scripts, and scenarios for data validation and quality assurance.

• Perform data testing and validation using SQL to verify data accuracy and integrity in databases.

• Analyze complex datasets to identify inconsistencies and troubleshoot issues.

• Work with Unix/Linux systems to automate data testing processes and execute shell scripts.

• Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business teams to understand requirements and ensure data testing aligns with project goals.

• Validate ETL processes and ensure seamless data flow between systems.

• Document test results, defects, and resolutions clearly and effectively.

• Stay updated on best practices in data testing and emerging tools and technologies.

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying, validation, and manipulation.

• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environments, including shell scripting.

• Familiarity with ETL tools and processes.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and identify patterns or anomalies.

• Experience in writing and executing test cases for data pipelines.

• Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and database systems such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar.

• Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting data-related issues.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
