Job Description:
- Lead software architecture and design for all platforms - Web, Mobile, Desktop
- Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery.
- Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship.
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits. Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
- Collaborate with other teams at Praan, such as – data science, interaction design, etc. to draft software specifications.
- Assist in the collection and documentation of user’s requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans.
- Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.
- Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
- Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
- Package and support deployment of releases.
- Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties.
- Support development of corporate-end software for B2B sales.
Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of JavaScript
- Experience with versioning tools (git) and Issue Tracking with Kanban boards
- Experience with Continuous Integration / Deployment
- Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques and theories
- Ability to work with multiple cloud providers — GCP, AWS, and Azure
- Containerisation and Orchestration (Docker + Kubernetes)
- Databases — MongoDB, Redis, and SQL
- Ability to evaluate the best-suited database for given use case
- Understanding frontend development using node-based frameworks (e.g. ReactJS)
- Understanding backend development using node-base frameworks (e.g. ExpressJS)
- Understanding and development of mobile apps/platforms
- Experience with Typescript
- Understanding backend development using Python
- Know-how of running Tensorflow/Keras inferences using Python
- Experience with GraphQL
- Past experience building cloud infrastructure and security for IoT Devices
- Past experience leading a team
- Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills
