Design engineer Location(s): Bangalore Reporting To: Head – Sales / CEO Experience Required: 2-3 years in Solar EPC / Renewable Energy / Industrial Solutions Sales Role Overview The Solar Design Engineer is responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing solar (PV) systems for residential, commercial, and utility-scale projects.

This role involves system layout design, electrical engineering, performance modeling, and code compliance while working closely with sales, project management, procurement, and construction teams to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective solar solutions.

Key Responsibilities  Design solar PV systems including module layout, inverter selection, string sizing, and electrical single-line diagrams  Perform site assessments using construction drawings, satellite imagery, and shading analysis tools  Conduct energy yield assessments and system performance simulations using industry standard software  Ensure all designs comply with applicable electrical and building codes.  Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation for permitting and construction  Support interconnection applications and coordinate with utilities as required  Review structural and electrical constraints and collaborate with structural engineers when necessary  Work with sales and project teams to optimize system cost, performance, and constructability  Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting phases  Stay current with emerging solar technologies, products, and industry best practices Candidate Profile         

Education: BE / Dipl. In Electrical Engineering Experience: o 2–5 years of experience in solar PV system design (residential, commercial). o Proficiency in solar design and modeling software Skills: Solar PV system design and optimization Electrical engineering and code compliance Energy modelling and performance analysis Cross-functional collaboration Technical documentation and reporting Attention to detail and quality assurance
