Job Description -Accounts Executive – Compliance.
Department: Finance & Accounts
Industry: Lighting / FMEG / Electrical / Manufacturing / Trading Reports to: Manager/Compliance Head.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Statutory Compliance & Taxation
• Ensure timely filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C), TDS, TCS and necessary reconciliations.
• Maintain records for Input Tax Credit (ITC) and ensure accurate monthly reconciliation with GSTR-2B.
• Manage e-invoicing / e-way bill generation and ensure compliance as per GST rules.
• Coordinate with consultants for income tax, PF/ESI, Professional Tax, LWF and statutory audits.
• Ensure compliance with Companies Act, ROC filing support if required.
2. Financial Documentation & Ledger Management
• Manage and verify vendor and customer financial documents, including GST certificates, PAN, bank details and agreements.
• Maintain statutory registers and licenses such as Shop & Establishment, Pollution, Factory License (if manufacturing), Trade License etc.
• Ensure proper accounting of statutory transactions in ERP (SAP / Oracle / Tally).
3. Coordination & Audits
• Support internal, statutory & GST audits by providing data, reconciliations & documentation.
• Maintain up-to-date records for audit and ensure zero non-compliance observations.
• Liaison with GST department, tax authorities & auditors when required.
4. Reporting & Compliance Control
• Prepare monthly compliance dashboard reports and deadlines tracker for management.
• Track and renew license renewals, agreements, vendor compliance certificates and AMC compliance.
• Implement process improvements to reduce compliance risk.
5. Vendor Compliance & Payments
• Conduct vendor compliance verification (GST status, MSME certificate, PF/ESIC registration etc.).
• Coordinate with procurement & accounts payable for withholding tax, form 16A, form 26AS reconciliation, and statutory deductions.
6. ERP & Documentation Management
• Updating compliance data on ERP systems / DMS (Document Management System).
• Maintain digital filing system for financial compliance records.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong knowledge of GST, Income Tax, TDS, TCS, PF/ESI, PT rules
• Proficiency in Tally ERP / SAP / Oracle / MS Excel
• Good understanding of audit and statutory compliance deadlines
• Attention to detail & strong documentation and follow-up skills
