Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Checker cumTeam Lead specializing in Tekla Structures at our Coimbatore office. This full-time position requires a minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in structural steel detailing and 3D modeling. The role is crucial for overseeing the accuracy of detailing projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and client requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in structural steel detailing and checking, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Proficiency in Tekla Structures (Mandatory skill) for advanced metal design and analysis in complex projects.
• In-depth knowledge of AISC standards (Mandatory skill) to ensure compliance and accuracy in technical specifications.
• Advanced skill in Steel Detailing (Mandatory skill) to lead teams and verify project designs meticulously.
• Proficient in Structural Drafting to produce detailed and precise construction documents.
• Capable of 3D Modeling to create realistic representations and improve project insights.
• Excellent checking skills for meticulous evaluation of detailed design documents to avoid errors and omissions.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead a team of detailers and checkers, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet or exceed client expectations.
• Develop and review detailed structural steel drawings based on Tekla Structures for a variety of project types.
• Ensure all projects comply with AISC standards and client specific requirements for accuracy and quality.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to resolve design issues and improve the workflow.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
• Manage project schedules effectively to meet stipulated deadlines without compromising on quality.
• Facilitate open communication within the team to identify potential issues and implement practical solutions swiftly.
• Prepare and present detailed technical reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and clarity in communication.
