This role will be responsible for generating new business and ensuring that sales targets are met or exceeded across all lines of business. This individual should be a motivated customer sales representative with experience and an entrepreneurial spirit.&nbsp; Responsibilities:• Responsible for developing a plan to achieve sales target • Responsible for carrying out prospecting calls • Responsible for establishing and managing relationships with customers in need of the firm’s freight transportation services • Maintain consistently positive interactions to nurture customer relationships • Take ownership of customer issues and follow-through till resolution • Represent the firm in negotiating and building relationship with shippers and carriers • Responsible for aiding successful pick-up and delivering, and over the road assistance while customers’ freight moves across . • Perform Cold-calling and work to build a book of businesses. • Grow revenue and relationships with New &amp; existing&nbsp;customer base. • Generate leads through cold calling, physical visits,networking and referrals. • Utilize inside sales knowledge. • Quote formal and spot bids. • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction- maintain close contact with all customers– including follow up on concerns or other issues.&nbsp;&nbsp; • Communicate effectively with customers, shippers, and receivers regarding changes in pick-up/delivery and potential service failures. • Communicate customer problems to management. • Exceed all standards for prospecting calls, presentations, proposals and closes. • Provide documented activity reports of your sales efforts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. • Execute and monitor strategic and tactical goals to maximize sales, profit and to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded. • Secondary: • Negotiate contracts and rate agreements. • Support carrier reps with the coordination of transportation freight in a cost-effective manner. • Document issues with orders thoroughly. • Track/trace shipments when requested. Experience: • 2-3 years of domestic Logistics experience. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Superior phone etiquette. • Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Word). • Excellent interpersonal skills.
