As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Python scripts that perform web scraping on specific sites and aggregating this information on Elastic. You will also work to build indexes on Elastic with appropriate queries and facilitate the development of Kibana dashboards which use the Elastic Indexes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engaging and intuitive user experiences.

Role & Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scripts that parse data from multiple sources – Websites, Excel reports from emails, API streams and aggregate this data into Elastic search. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Work with external data sources and APIs
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing Python applications/Scripts.
• Strong proficiency in Elastic, including Elastic queries and indexes and with Logstash, specifically with setting up configurations for parsing data from multiple sources.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Good to have skills:

• Experience with Kibana.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
