Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and certified Junior Yoga Instructor to join our dynamic team at Spandana Hospital in Bangalore. This is a full-time position ideal for individuals with 1 to 3 years of experience, aiming to promote holistic wellness for our patients, staff, and community through structured yoga programs and mindful practices.
Qualifications and Skills
- Yoga Alliance Certification (Mandatory skill) is essential to ensure standardized, safe, and effective yoga instruction to participants at all levels.
- Expertise in Vinyasa Flow (Mandatory skill), with demonstrated ability to guide fluid transitions between postures while maintaining proper form and safety.
- Proficient in Mindfulness Practices (Mandatory skill), integrating meditation, breathwork, and relaxation techniques as part of holistic health benefits.
- Practical experience in Hatha Yoga, able to design sessions that improve strength, flexibility, and mental focus for diverse participants.
- Knowledge in Injury Prevention, adept at modifying yoga poses and sequences to accommodate varying physical abilities and reduce the risk of harm.
- Flexibility Training experience, enabling individuals to safely expand their range of motion, improve mobility, and enhance overall physical wellness.
- Strong grasp of Anatomy Knowledge to tailor yoga sessions to rehabilitative needs, and ensure safe practice in a healthcare environment.
- Ability to communicate empathetically and clearly, facilitating a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for all practitioners of various backgrounds.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead yoga classes for patients, hospital staff, and the community, adapting sessions for various levels and health conditions.
- Develop and implement structured yoga programs promoting physical, mental, and emotional wellness tailored to healthcare settings.
- Monitor progress and provide guidance on safe alignment, posture modifications, and injury prevention during classes.
- Encourage regular participation and foster a supportive environment that motivates individuals to adopt mindful practices.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and therapists to address special healthcare and rehabilitative needs in yoga instruction.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, participant progress, and feedback for continuous improvement of programs.
