Qualifications and Skills

• Laparoscopic Surgery (Mandatory skill): Proven expertise in performing advanced laparoscopic surgical procedures in gastroenterology settings is essential for high-quality patient outcomes.
• Endoscopy (Mandatory skill): Strong hands-on skills in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy for the evaluation and treatment of gastrointestinal disorders are a must.
• ERCP (Mandatory skill): In-depth experience with endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography procedures for the management of biliary and pancreatic diseases.
• Postoperative Care: Solid knowledge and experience in providing comprehensive, evidence-based postoperative care and monitoring for optimal recovery and complication prevention.
• Minimally Invasive Techniques: Familiarity with a broad range of minimally invasive surgical techniques to support less invasive patient care and promote rapid rehabilitation.
• Medical Education: Ability to participate in clinical teaching, contribute to internal training sessions, and stay updated with the latest gastroenterological advancements.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform elective and emergency surgical gastroenterology procedures, including laparoscopic surgeries, endoscopy, and ERCP in alignment with best medical practices.
• Conduct thorough preoperative evaluations, obtain informed consent, and devise optimized surgical strategies based on patient-specific assessments.
• Deliver expert postoperative care, monitoring the progress of surgical patients and intervening promptly in the event of any complications or challenges.
• Provide consultations to other hospital departments, share expert opinions, and participate actively in multidisciplinary case discussions to improve patient care.
• Engage in ongoing patient education, discussing risks, expected outcomes, and postoperative care requirements to ensure patient understanding and satisfaction.
• Contribute to hospital-based clinical education and training programs, mentoring junior staff and sharing advancements in surgical gastroenterology techniques.
• Consistently document surgical and clinical activities in patient records, maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with hospital protocols.
