Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Personal Trainer to join our team at Spandana Hospital in Bangalore. This is a full-time, mid-level position that requires a minimum of 4 to 6 years of professional work experience in the fitness and wellness industry. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in personal and strength training, with a focus on injury prevention, and be committed to helping patients and clients achieve their fitness goals.
Qualifications and Skills
- Personal Training (Mandatory skill): Proven ability to create and execute individualized fitness programs tailored to clients' needs for optimal results.
- Strength Training (Mandatory skill): Demonstrated experience in instructing clients in proper techniques for building muscle and increasing physical strength.
- Injury Prevention (Mandatory skill): Expertise in designing routines and advising clients on best practices to reduce the risk of injury during exercise.
- Program Design: Capability to structure progressive and adaptive fitness programs based on client health assessments and fitness objectives.
- Client Assessment: Proficient in evaluating clients’ physical condition, medical history, and readiness for exercise to create safe, effective plans.
- Nutrition Guidance: Ability to provide basic nutrition advice and promote healthy lifestyle habits that support clients’ fitness and wellness goals.
- Effective Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to motivate, educate, and build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds and health conditions.
- Team Collaboration: Experience working closely with healthcare professionals for integrated care and optimal outcomes for patients.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments and health history reviews to create personalized training programs for clients and patients.
- Deliver guidance on strength training and injury prevention techniques to ensure client safety and optimum physical progress.
- Monitor and track client progress, adapting programs as necessary to meet evolving health and fitness goals.
- Educate clients on exercise routines, proper equipment use, and healthy lifestyle habits including nutrition and activity.
- Collaborate with hospital physicians, physiotherapists, and other medical staff to ensure coordinated and holistic care plans.
- Lead individual and group training sessions, adjusting exercises for different skill and health levels as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of workouts, assessments, and outcomes for continuous improvement and accountability.
- Stay updated with the latest fitness research and best practices, ensuring programs are evidence-based and effective.
