Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior Pediatrician to join our team at Spandana Hospital, Bangalore. This is a full-time position ideal for professionals with 1–3 years of work experience. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to children while supporting their growth, development, and overall health in a patient-centered environment.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Pediatrics (Mandatory skill) – Proven expertise in pediatric medicine, delivering comprehensive care to infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Vaccinations (Mandatory skill) – Experience in administering vaccines as per immunization schedules, ensuring child safety and effectiveness.
  • Newborn Care (Mandatory skill) – Proficiency in the medical management of newborns, including screening, monitoring, and intervention.
  • Patient Assessment – Skilled in conducting thorough health assessments, identifying symptoms, and obtaining detailed medical histories.
  • Clinical Diagnosis – Ability to evaluate clinical findings accurately and arrive at effective pediatric diagnoses for acute and chronic conditions.
  • Growth and Development Monitoring – Track, document, and interpret physical and developmental milestones to ensure pediatric well-being.
  • Pediatric Resuscitation – Knowledge of emergency protocols, quick response to pediatric emergencies, and performing lifesaving interventions.
  • Developmental Screening – Conduct screenings to detect early signs of developmental delays or disorders, guiding appropriate referrals and interventions.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine examinations and provide diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Administer immunizations, manage vaccination schedules, and counsel families on vaccine benefits and safety.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient growth and development, addressing any concerns related to delays or abnormalities.
  • Provide specialized newborn care, including physical exams, screenings, and support to new parents regarding infant health.
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of pediatric illnesses, acute and chronic conditions, and refer to specialists when necessary.
  • Maintain meticulous patient records, including growth charts, developmental milestones, and immunization histories.
  • Respond promptly to pediatric emergencies, perform resuscitation, and oversee stabilization procedures as required.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, allied health staff, and caregivers, to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Educate families and patients on preventive healthcare, healthy habits, and managing common childhood illnesses.
