Qualifications and Skills

• Patient Assessment (Mandatory skill): Ability to efficiently evaluate and assess patients with neurological symptoms to determine accurate diagnoses and develop effective care plans.
• EEG Analysis (Mandatory skill): Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing EEG results for diagnosing neurological disorders and epilepsy.
• Clinical Documentation (Mandatory skill): Skilled in maintaining precise and comprehensive clinical records to ensure continuity of care and compliance with healthcare standards.
• Neurological Examination: Experience in performing detailed neurological examinations to identify and localize disorders affecting the nervous system.
• MRI Interpretation: Capable of analyzing and interpreting findings from MRI scans to support diagnosis and patient management for neurological conditions.
• Seizure Management: Effective in identifying, managing, and treating patients presenting with seizures and related disorders.
• Clear communication skills for explaining diagnoses, procedures, and treatment strategies to patients and collaborating medical teams.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest advances in neurology for the delivery of evidence-based care practices.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including thorough history-taking and neurological examinations to form accurate diagnoses.
• Interpret and analyze EEG and MRI findings to assist in the diagnosis and ongoing management of neurological disorders.
• Plan, initiate, and monitor treatment strategies tailored to individual patient needs including management of seizures and other neurological conditions.
• Document all patient encounters, assessments, and treatment plans meticulously in accordance with hospital protocols and medico-legal requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and integrated patient care for complex neurological cases.
• Participate in case discussions and contribute to hospital’s academic and clinical meetings to foster knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement.
• Offer support and guidance to patients and their families, addressing concerns and providing education about neurological illnesses and treatment options.
• Stay up-to-date with current developments in the field of neurology and apply best practices to enhance quality of care.
