Job Overview
We are seeking a Junior Medical Transcriptionist for our Bangalore location. This is a full-time position where the candidate will be part of our dedicated medical team. The role requires a minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 3 years of work experience. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining our commitment to delivering high-quality patient care through accurate transcription services.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology, ensuring accurate interpretation and transcription (Mandatory skill).
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy to efficiently handle large volumes of transcriptions (Mandatory skill).
- Solid understanding of human anatomy and physiology to accurately transcribe reports (Mandatory skill).
- Experience with transcription software to facilitate smooth and effective work processes.
- Ability to edit audio recordings to improve the quality and clarity of transcriptions.
- Strong command over grammar and punctuation to ensure the delivered documents meet high-quality standards.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and other healthcare documentation standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive medical information.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Transcribe and edit medical records created by physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure all medical terminology, abbreviations, and procedures are correctly documented.
- Check documents for inconsistencies and inaccuracies in medical reports and correct them accordingly.
- Manage and organize completed transcriptions in our electronic health records system.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure clarity and accuracy of transcriptions.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times in compliance with hospital and legal standards.
- Keep up with advancements in the medical field to assure precise and contemporary documentation.
- Regularly attend training sessions to refine transcription techniques and skills.
