Spandana Hospital is seeking a skilled Electroencephalogram Technician for a full-time, mid-level position. Located in Bangalore, the ideal candidate will possess 4 to 6 years of work experience in the field. The role requires expertise in conducting EEG tests and handling neurodiagnostic equipment.
Qualifications and Skills
- EEG Machine Operation (Mandatory skill): Extensive experience with the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of EEG machines.
- Neurodiagnostic Techniques (Mandatory skill): Proficiency in administering a variety of neurodiagnostic tests accurately.
- Electrode Placement (Mandatory skill): Expertise in proper electrode placement ensuring accurate EEG readings.
- Patient Monitoring: Ability to monitor patients during procedures and recognize any adverse reactions or unusual patterns.
- Chart Review and Analysis: Skilled in reviewing patient charts and analyzing test results for accurate documentation.
- Medical Record Documentation: Competence in maintaining detailed and accurate medical records as per hospital protocol.
- Patient Care and Communication: Excellent skills in explaining procedures to patients and attending to their comfort and questions.
- Infection Control Procedures: Familiarity with infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct EEG tests to record brain activity of patients, ensuring quality and accuracy of the recordings.
- Prepare patients for testing, including explaining procedures, securing cooperation, and positioning them properly for EEGs.
- Analyzing EEG data and providing preliminary findings to physicians for further interpretation.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of EEG equipment, including regular calibration and troubleshooting.
- Maintain patient information confidentiality while adhering to HIPAA and hospital guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and trainings to enhance professional knowledge and ensure best practices.
- Report any technical issues or concerns to supervisors promptly for resolution.
