Job Overview

Spandana Hospital is seeking Junior Duty Doctors with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience to join our team in Bangalore. This is a full-time position, and the candidate will be at the core of delivering continuous patient care and medical attention within our hospital environment. The role offers growth in a dynamic, collaborative healthcare setting.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Patient assessment experience to promptly and accurately evaluate patient condition and needs, ensuring effective care delivery (Mandatory skill).
  • BUMS degree is required to ensure comprehensive care adhering to traditional and modern medical practices (Mandatory skill).
  • BAMS qualification is a must to manage a wide range of patient cases in a hospital setting (Mandatory skill).
  • Demonstrated clinical decision-making skills to confidently handle emergencies and formulate appropriate management protocols.
  • BNMS qualification to add depth to the multi-disciplinary approach in patient management and holistic care.
  • Proficiency in medical documentation for maintaining accurate, complete, and timely patient records as per hospital standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to stay organized, multitask efficiently, and manage a diverse caseload in a fast-paced hospital environment.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient consultations, assessment, and preliminary diagnosis, ensuring optimal care under supervision of senior doctors or specialists.
  • Monitor and manage admitted patients, documenting daily progress, interventions, and updating patients’ medical records.
  • Coordinate with nursing and support staff to provide timely and holistic patient care throughout the hospital stay.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies, provide first-line management, and escalate cases as required.
  • Ensure completion of all medical documentation, discharge summaries, and reports as per hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate clearly with patients and their families regarding treatment plans, prognoses, and answer queries with empathy and professionalism.
  • Participate in regular training sessions, departmental meetings, and quality assurance programs to ensure continuous professional development.
  • Adhere strictly to hospital protocols, patient safety practices, and infection control guidelines at all times
