Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior Cathlab Technician to join our esteemed team at Spandana Hospital, headquartered in Bangalore. This full-time role requires a minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 3 years of experience in a similar position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting cardiac catheterization procedures and ensuring high standards of patient care within our facility.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring precise and safe practices (Mandatory skill).
• Expertise in maintaining and applying sterile techniques during all relevant medical procedures (Mandatory skill).
• Ability to efficiently prepare patients for diagnostic and therapeutic interventions in the cath lab (Mandatory skill).
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring systems to measure cardiovascular parameters accurately.
• Capability in managing intra-aortic balloon pumps and providing related patient support.
• Knowledge of performing percutaneous coronary interventions while adhering to protocol.
• Competence in interpreting radiologic imaging to aid physicians in diagnostic processes.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with medical teams and patients.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist in performing cardiac catheterization procedures and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly.
• Collaborate with physicians to prepare and support patients throughout the catheterization process.
• Maintain a sterile field and use aseptic techniques to prevent infections during procedures.
• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to provide detailed visuals for medical evaluations.
• Monitor patients' hemodynamic status and alert medical staff to potential complications.
• Ensure all equipment, such as the intra-aortic balloon pump, is used safely and efficiently.
• Document patient information and procedure details accurately and maintain records for review.
• Provide compassionate care and reassurance to patients before, during, and after their procedures.
