Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Care Taker to join our team at Spandana Hospital in Bangalore. This is a full-time, junior-level role suited for candidates with 1 to 3 years of experience. As a Care Taker, you will be entrusted with ensuring the comfort, safety, and daily well-being of our patients, working closely with our medical and support staff.

Qualifications and Skills

• Patient Care (Mandatory skill): Demonstrated experience in assisting patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout their stay.
• Observation Skills (Mandatory skill): Ability to monitor patient condition closely and report any changes promptly to medical staff.
• Daily Living Assistance (Mandatory skill): Proficiency in supporting patients with everyday activities such as feeding, bathing, and mobility.
• First Aid: Knowledge of basic first aid procedures to provide immediate response during medical emergencies.
• Companionship: Capable of establishing a friendly and supportive environment to enhance patient mental well-being.
• Time Management: Effectively manages multiple tasks and prioritizes responsibilities to ensure timely delivery of care.
• Personal Hygiene Support: Skilled in helping patients maintain personal hygiene standards with sensitivity and respect.
• Empathetic Communication: Respects patient dignity, communicates kindly, and listens attentively to patient concerns and needs.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support to ensure their comfort and hygiene.
• Closely observe patients’ medical conditions, moods, and needs, promptly reporting concerning changes to the nursing or medical team.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, helping to create a positive and soothing environment in the hospital.
• Handle routine tasks such as changing bed linens, cleaning patient rooms, and maintaining a clean surrounding for patient wellbeing.
• Administer basic first aid and support patient safety by spotting hazards and following hospital safety protocols at all times.
• Ensure timely delivery of medications, meals, and other essentials as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Document observations and care activities accurately, ensuring clear and effective communication with the broader healthcare team.
• Support patient movement within the hospital for appointments, diagnostic tests, or recreational activities, following all safety guidelines.
