Spandana Hospital is seeking a Junior Anesthesiologist to join our dedicated team in Bengaluru. This is a full-time position ideal for professionals with 1-3 years of experience in anesthesia. The role focuses on delivering safe and effective anesthesia care for diverse surgical procedures within a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven expertise in airway management (Mandatory skill), ensuring patient safety during induction and maintenance of anesthesia under various clinical scenarios.
• Demonstrated skill in preoperative evaluation (Mandatory skill), assessing medical histories, allergies, and patient risks prior to anesthesia administration.
• Strong ability in anesthesia administration (Mandatory skill), including general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care for a wide range of surgeries.
• Proficiency in patient assessment to determine anesthesia requirements, preoperative planning, and overall risk management for improved outcomes.
• Experience in intraoperative monitoring, continuously observing and interpreting vital signs to promptly respond to patient changes during procedures.
• Capability in pain management, providing postoperative pain relief and creating customized pain management plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and surgical teams, ensuring cohesive patient care before, during, and after surgery.
• Keen attention to detail and the ability to remain focused and calm under pressure while working in time-sensitive or critical care situations.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive preoperative evaluations to determine anesthesia plans, incorporating patient history, medications, and surgical requirements.
• Administer and manage anesthesia during various surgical and diagnostic procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all stages.
• Monitor patients continuously during procedures, interpreting vital signs and adjusting anesthesia levels in response to patient needs.
• Collaborate with surgical and nursing teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality care throughout the perioperative period.
• Perform effective airway management, including appropriate interventions in routine and emergency situations.
• Manage postoperative recovery and pain relief strategies to enhance patient comfort and facilitate optimal recovery.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all anesthetic procedures, patient records, and outcomes in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Participate in departmental meetings, continuous medical education, and quality improvement initiatives as required by Spandana Hospital.
