Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Geography to join our faculty. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, excellent teaching skills, and a passion for educating students in higher secondary classes (Grades 11 & 12).

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons aligned with the curriculum.

Teach concepts such as Physical Geography, Human Geography, Cartography, GIS, and Environmental Studies.

Develop and implement lesson plans that promote critical thinking and interactive learning.

Use modern teaching aids, technology, and experiential learning techniques.

Prepare students for board examinations and competitive entrance tests.

Assess students’ performance through tests, projects, and assignments.

Provide individualized support to students to enhance their learning.

Organize educational trips, field visits, and geography-related activities.

Collaborate with fellow teachers and participate in school events, seminars, and workshops.

Maintain student records and communicate progress with parents.

Stay updated with the latest developments in Geography and education methodologies.

Qualifications & Experience:

Educational Qualification:

Master’s Degree (M.A./M.Sc.) in Geography from a recognized university.

B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.

Experience:

Minimum 2-5 years of teaching experience at the higher secondary level (Class 11 & 12).

Skills:

Strong subject knowledge.

Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Proficiency in using digital tools, maps, and GIS software.

Ability to inspire and engage students.

Preferred Qualifications:

CTET/State TET qualification.

Experience in CBSE/ICSE/State Board curriculum.

Exposure to project-based and experiential learning methods.
