Responsibilities:

● Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests

● Identify programming bottlenecks and bugs and find fixes

● Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

● Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system

● Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors [such as Stylus, Less, etc]

● Good understanding of server-side templating languages [such as Jade, EJS, etc]

● Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks available for it [such as Express, StrongLoop, etc]

● Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds

● User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments

● Strong proficiency with JavaScript and Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such

as HTML5, and CSS3

● Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application and accessibility

and security compliance

● Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop,

and Optimizing output to match the specific platform

Requirements:

● Understanding of data security principles

● Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code

● Implementation of security and data protection

● Familiarity with Docker and AWS infrastructure

● Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude skills

● Proficiency in JavaScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks

● Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications

● Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic

● Integration of data storage solutions [may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores,

etc.]

● Hands-on expertise in REST, MySQL/PostgreSQL, WebSocket, MongoDB, Redis, etc.

● The ability to work as part of a team, taking ownership of individual components and

following coding guidelines to create performant components that fit into

more-comprehensive projects

● The ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects, and rapidly changing priorities while

maintaining a positive attitude

● Teamwork as second nature: strong communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and

organisational skills

● Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.
