Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our team at Shizen Energy India Private Limited. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth procurement of materials and services necessary for our battery pack manufacturing operations. This is a full-time position based in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu, India, and we require a junior candidate with 1 to 3 years of experience in purchasing.
Qualifications and Skills
- 1 to 3 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the electrical or manufacturing industry.
- Bachelor's degree in commerce, business administration, or a related field.
- Proficient in using purchasing software and tools.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with procurement regulations and best practices.
- Knowledge of battery pack manufacturing or electrical components is a plus.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist the Purchasing Manager in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services required for battery pack manufacturing.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, deliveries, and suppliers' information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify purchasing needs and ensure timely procurement.
- Review and compare purchasing options to ensure the best value for the company.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials and resolve any potential issues.
- Assist in assessing supplier performance and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Monitor market trends, new products, and pricing changes to optimize purchasing decisions.
- Prepare and maintain purchasing reports and documentation for internal review.
- Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with purchasing guidelines and regulations.
