Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior Purchase Officer to join our team in Vadodara. This full-time position focuses on the efficient procurement of materials and managing vendor relationships. Candidates should have 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in purchasing or procurement. The role emphasizes strong negotiation skills and proficiency in procurement software.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in vendor management and procurement software such as SAP Ariba or Oracle Procurement Cloud (Mandatory skill).
• Demonstrated negotiation skills to effectively collaborate with vendors and secure best pricing and terms (Mandatory skill).
• Strong understanding of supply chain management to ensure seamless procurement and delivery of materials.
• Capability in data analysis to assess and optimize purchasing decisions based on past trends and forecasts.
• Experience in contract management to ensure compliance with vendor agreements and company procurement policies.
• Budgeting skills to manage and allocate funds effectively for purchasing activities and cost control.
• Expertise in purchase order management to track, monitor, and complete purchase orders in a timely manner.
• Collaborative and communication skills to work effectively with various departments and stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Negotiate with vendors to acquire the best deals on materials, ensuring high quality and cost-efficiency.
• Manage procurement software systems to streamline purchasing processes and maintain accurate records.
• Analyze market trends to forecast procurement needs and strategize purchasing activities accordingly.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate long-term contracts.
• Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics departments to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and ethical standards.
• Report on purchasing metrics to stakeholders and provide insights for continuous process improvement.
