Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Product cost reporting

1. To report product cost of all new products manufactured during the month
2. To review product costs of existing products and compare with previous costs.
3. To highlight any change happening in the above in a given month; If overall cost increases, identify and report cost component that has contributed to cost increase
4. To present SKU wise product cost report to management periodically to cover all brands once in a quarter
5. To prepare product cost report detailing all components of a product at RM/PM level
6. To maintain Master cost data for all SKUs based on which yearly Budget will be prepared.
7. To compile historical data of product costs to report the impact every quarter and annually
8. To identify, suggest cost reports for monitoring costs

Cost re-engineering:

1. To liaise with relevant persons of various departments and assist in cost re-engineering programs
2. Manufactured components & Packing material costs – to monitor cost increases and report these to enable to take corrective action
3. To maintain record of cost re-engineering activities and the resultant cost changes

New product development

1. To work along with new product development team and record cost history from development stage
2. To advise impact of cost changes due to changes in specification/material/design, etc. during various stages of new product development
3. To report target Vs actual cost for the new products manufactured
