Purpose of role

We are looking for a highly motivated Compounding Operator to work for a leading PVC manufacturer. Reporting directly to the Shift Manager you will be a key member of the site team ensuring the Production facility is kept running to maximum efficiency and output.

Core Responsibilities

• Safety No.1 priority driving behavioral safety across the function.
• To work effectively adhere to and promote all Health, Safety and Environmental legislation along with the Company’s compliance Guidelines.
• Well versant in operating fully automated PVC compounding Plant with fair knowledge in assisting in making formulation of recipe.
• Expertise in understanding properties and behavior of various ingredients used in manufacturing of PVC compound.
• Good in making documentation of operating instruction of PVC compounding plant & Job cards as well documentation of recipe.
• Good at keeping shop floor tidy and clean at any time.
• Conversant in communicating in Hindi, Kannada & English at all levels effectively and timely.
• Strongly believe in developing subordinates in running the compounding plant effectively.
• Other duties as assigned time to time.

Person Specification – Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Desirable

• Experience in the PVC compounding 2-5 years.
• CPET institutes certification is desirable and is not mandatory.

Essential

• Experience of shift work
• Experience of operating machinery
• Experience of working within a team
• Understanding of working to quality procedures
• Experience of manual handling techniques (however, full training can be provided)
• Stable employment history
• Basic English and Math or equivalent qualifications
• The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines with a “can do” mentality
