Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Android Developer with 1+ year of experience to join our dynamic team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Android development, be proficient in Kotlin/Java, and have experience building and maintaining high-quality mobile applications.  

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performing Android applications.  

2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.  

3. Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following industry best practices.  

4. Debug and resolve application issues, including performance and usability concerns.  

5. Stay updated with the latest Android trends, tools, and technologies.  

6. Integrate third-party APIs and services as needed.  

7. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with the team.  

Requirements:

1. Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.  

2. Experience: 

  - 1+ year of professional experience in Android development.  

  - Proven experience with Kotlin and/or Java.  

3. Technical Skills:

  - Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.  

  - Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to backend services.  

  - Understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.  

  - Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.  

  - Knowledge of version control systems like Git.  

4. Soft Skills: 

  - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.  

  - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.  

  - Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.  

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with Jetpack components (e.g., Room, ViewModel, LiveData).  

2. Familiarity with Firebase services (e.g., Firestore, Analytics, Push Notifications).  

3. Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.  

4. Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Android.  

5. Published applications on the Google Play Store on a demo application available on the Play Store showcasing your work.
