Title               :         Manager - Purchase

Qualification   :          Any Graduate or BE / Diploma ECE/EEE/EIE

Experience     :          8 – 15years

CTC                 :          4.50 – 7.00 LPA

Reporting To   :          Operations Manager / Plant Head

Location         :          Coimbatore

 

As an Assisting Manager you will be responsible for purchasing equipment, goods and services and managing vendors. You supposed to manage the suppliers within cluster of Industrial and Medical / Railways and Automotive/ Defence and Aerospace sectors.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

 

ü Developing and implementing purchasing strategies.

ü Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks as per plan.

ü Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines for effective purchase methods.

ü Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation for ease access.

ü Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power

ü Must have strong knowledge in raw materials purchase and make it effective.

ü Hands on experience in Import and interstate activities and able to handle independently.

ü Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.

ü Evaluates and approves conditions for issuing and awarding bids.

ü Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications as required.

ü Responsible to ensure on time deliveries as per the companies requirement.

ü Resolves grievances with vendors, contractors, and suppliers.

ü Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand and Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets.

ü Working to improve purchasing systems and processes.

ü Training new employees in the purchasing process and how to use the purchasing system.

ü Acts as the company’s representative in negotiations with suppliers.

ü Coordinates removal or disposal of surplus materials.

ü Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements and skills

 

ü Proven experience as a purchasing manager.

ü Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.

ü Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.

ü Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.

ü Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.

ü Strong planning and organizational skills.
