Job Overview
Sana Search International is seeking a skilled Travel Consultant for its Mumbai location. This role involves handling client requests including reservations, transfers, changes, and cancellations, while providing alternative travel options when necessary. The candidate will book domestic and international reservations for air travel, rail tickets, hotel accommodations, and car rentals. The position requires adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure timely and accurate service delivery. Additionally, the candidate will monitor and manage queues in the Amadeus global distribution system (GDS) to maintain high-quality service standards. A competitive salary of up to 7 LPA is offered along with benefits such as Provident Fund and performance bonuses.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience as a Travel Consultant in the travel industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Amadeus GDS and proficiency in using it to manage bookings.
- Proficiency with other GDS tools like Sabre, Galileo, Worldspan, Apollo, and Pegasus is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of international fares, routings, and visa processing requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-oriented approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing situations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or relevant field is preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Handle client requests including reservations, transfers, changes, and cancellations; provide alternative travel options when necessary.
- Book domestic and international reservations for air travel, rail tickets, hotel accommodations, and car rentals.
- Adhere strictly to SLAs to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
- Monitor and manage queues in the Amadeus GDS to maintain high-quality service standards.
- Stay informed about airline rules, regulations, and current developments affecting travel industry trends.
- Collaborate effectively with interoffice departments to fulfill client requirements, including MIS support.
- Assist the finance department in client debt recovery processes as required.
- Proficiency in Amadeus is mandatory; experience with Implant travel management systems is advantageous.
- Liaise with airlines, hotels, and other service providers to negotiate rates and ensure client satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate client records and manage bookings using CRM software to ensure seamless client communications.
