đŹ Science Educator: Curiosity Ignitor
About the Job
Skills
Science is not a subject. Itâs a way of thinking for the universe.
Weâre looking for a Science Educator who challenges assumptions, questions outcomes, and teaches students to think like scientistsânot note-takers. If you believe labs matter more than lectures and questions matter more than answers, youâll feel at home here.
đ Your Real Mission
- Turn Curiosity into Skill: Teach students how to ask better questions, design experiments, and defend conclusions with evidence.
- Break the Silo: Connect Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Environmental Science into one coherent way of understanding the world.
- Make Science Physical: Prioritize experiments, demos, field observations, and failures that lead to insight.
- Train Thinkers, Not Toppers: Help students analyze data, challenge results, and refine hypotheses.
- Own the Lab: Create a space where safety, structure, and fearless inquiry coexist.
𧪠What Youâll Actually Do
- Design inquiry-first lessons for Grades 6â10 (or your assigned range)
- Teach students how to record, interpret, and argue from data
- Use real-world problemsâclimate, energy, health, technologyâas learning anchors
- Integrate math, tech, and logic naturally into scientific reasoning
đ What You Bring
- A Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Science / Education (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or related fields)
- Classroom experience where learning went beyond slides and summaries
- Strong command of scientific method, lab practices, and conceptual clarity
- Comfort saying âLetâs test thatâ instead of âThatâs the answerâ
đ ď¸ Skills That Matter Here
- Inquiry-Driven Pedagogy â You design learning around questions, not content coverage
- Experimental Design & Data Literacy â Students collect, analyze, and defend data
- Conceptual Depth â You explain why, not just what
- Cross-Disciplinary Thinking â Science doesnât live in boxesâand neither do your lessons
- Lab Leadership & Safety â Controlled chaos, responsibly managed
- Tech & Simulation Tools â Visualising what canât be seen
đ WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN SAKHA
- We Trust Educators: No micromanagement. No rigid scripts. Just high standards and real autonomy.
- Curiosity Is the Curriculum: Exploration is valued as much as outcomes.
- Students Who Ask Questions: Youâll teach learners who are encouraged to think, not just comply.
- Room to Experiment: With pedagogy, projects, and your own growth.
- A Culture That Thinks: Youâll work with educators who debate ideas, not just deadlines.
đ A Few Important Things to Know
To ensure clarity and alignment from the start, weâd like to share a few essential aspects of how we work at Sakha:
