Job Overview
The Store Manager at Go Fresh, Reliance Retail, will oversee store operations, team management, inventory, and customer service to achieve business objectives. This is a senior, full-time position based in Chennai, requiring expertise in retail operations and a results-driven, customer-centric approach.
Qualifications and Skills
- Completed Hotel Management Degree.
- Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in retail operations, including day-to-day store management and compliance with company policies (Mandatory skill).
- Demonstrated ability to manage profit and loss accounts to ensure store profitability and optimal resource allocation.
- Proficiency with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems for transaction management, financial reconciling, and reporting accuracy.
- Advanced inventory management skills, ensuring stock availability, minimizing losses, and supporting supply chain efficiency.
- Experience in sales forecasting and setting realistic targets by analyzing trends, sales data, and local demand fluctuations.
- Strong competencies in performance analysis with a focus on improving KPIs, employee productivity, and achieving organizational goals.
- Solid understanding of customer experience management, including conflict resolution, loyalty building, and personalized service strategies.
- Proficiency in visual merchandising by planning appealing product displays and layouts to maximize in-store conversions.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of store operations to meet and exceed sales targets, profitability, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Effectively manage staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and motivation to drive high performance and engagement.
- Oversee inventory, ordering, and stock control processes to ensure product availability, freshness, and operational consistency.
- Monitor and control budget expenditures, review financial reports, and optimize store expenses without compromising quality.
- Implement visual merchandising standards, promotional activities, and store displays to enhance the customer experience.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, resolve escalations, and gather feedback for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilize POS systems for transaction processing, reporting, and maintaining data accuracy for audits and compliance.
- Analyze store performance metrics and develop action plans for improvement in alignment with senior management directives.
