Job Overview
We are seeking dynamic and experienced professionals for the positions of Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, and Department Manager for our NSO Smart Bazaar Kotkapura and Abohar locations. These are full-time, mid-level positions for candidates with 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience. The roles are pivotal in ensuring smooth store operations, driving profitability, and delivering excellent customer service at Reliance Retail.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in store management with at least 4 years of experience ensuring smooth retail operations and achievement of business objectives.
- Thorough understanding of retail operations, including sales, inventory, merchandising, and the use of integrated commerce platforms for an efficient workflow.
- Hands-on experience in profit and loss management to optimize store profitability, manage budgets, and control expenses effectively.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate teams, fostering a culture focused on high performance and continuous professional development.
- Excellent customer service skills with a strong focus on understanding customer needs and enhancing their overall in-store experience.
- Effective understanding of loss prevention strategies to minimize shrinkage and maintain overall store security and asset protection standards.
- Inventory management experience (Mandatory skill) covering order placement, stock audits, shrinkage prevention, and ensuring optimal inventory levels.
- Visual merchandising expertise (Mandatory skill) with a knack for designing attractive store layouts and product displays that drive sales.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the retail store, ensuring all processes are followed efficiently and consistently for seamless customer experiences.
- Drive achievement of sales targets and profitability objectives by implementing effective sales strategies and closely monitoring key performance indicators.
- Manage store inventory including ordering, receiving, auditing, and ensuring that all processes align with company standards and minimize losses.
- Execute visual merchandising guidelines to maintain engaging and brand-aligned product displays, maximizing customer attraction and conversion rates.
- Lead, train, schedule, and develop store team members, fostering a supportive work environment and aligning efforts toward common goals.
- Monitor and control expenses and budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to improve store profitability and manage overheads.
- Enforce loss prevention measures, monitor security, and immediately address any shrinkage or compliance-related incidents.
- Deliver outstanding service to every customer, promptly addressing inquiries and grievances to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, operational standards, and legal requirements to maintain a safe and efficient store environment.
