Reliance eCommerce is treading on an exciting new business journey exploring the online channels in retailing. We need techno-functional experts who will join hands in achieving these goals. We are looking for engineering professionals who can revolutionize customer experience & convenience in the digital environment by creating scalable and seamless multi-channel experiences by connecting buyers & sellers of all types and sizes across the nation. You can be a part of developing and launching new services for Reliance across channels – web, tablet, mobile, and future channels. Role:

· Develop Digital Consumer experiences based on foundation of web technologies.

· Develop features such as order management system, Invoice and refund system, Inventory System etc.

· Collaborate with your architect to define implementation processes and quality gates and standards

· Write application code that exceeds the defined quality standards

· Diagnose and solve technical problems related to web technologies using Java/J2EE. Ecommerce knowledge will be a plus

· Interact with product/business team to create end-to-end specifications

· Provide inputs and direction to associates on the team for design and implementation

What You’ll Do:

• Drive the product/engineering roadmap for AI-enabled and agentic workflows, accelerating digital productivity across the retail value chain.

• Build scalable, modular, high-performance systems/products that power mission-critical retail operations.

• Translate complex business and user problems into simple, intuitive, and elegant solutions using data, design, and experimentation.

• Collaborate deeply with engineering, design, data, business, and operations to deliver measurable value.

• Own product/feature success metrics — improving adoption, efficiency, and customer experience.

• Bring clarity to ambiguity by defining strategy, scope, prioritization, and clear decision frameworks.

• Raise the bar for product/engineering excellence by influencing system architecture, processes, and culture.

What You Bring:

Must-Haves:

• Mastery of J2EE, Spring Framework, Hibernate.

• Basic knowledge of JVM, Java Memory Model and its workarounds

• Aware of clean coding practices, can write unit tests and implement automated testing platforms.

• Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, relational databases.

• Exposure to open-source technologies and tools will be a plus.

• Understanding of building tools like Ant, Maven, Gradle etc

• Familiar with code versioning tools e.g GIT

• Aware of CI/CD processes

• Familiarity with popular design, architectural patterns and Good Understanding of microservices

• Strong knowledge of RDBMS systems like MySQL, with basic understanding of NoSQL databases mongo, elasticsearch etc

• Must have good understanding of the eCommerce domain.

• Proven experience in building and scaling large consumer, enterprise, or AI-led products/systems.

• Strong capability in problem framing, user understanding, data-driven decisioning, and outcome definition.

• Hands-on expertise in cloud platforms, distributed systems, AI/ML ecosystems, or modern full-stack technologies (role-specific).

• Exceptional ability to collaborate with engineering, design, data, and cross-functional partners.

• High ownership mindset with the ability to lead in ambiguity.

• Clear, structured communication and strong stakeholder influence skills.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with LLMs, agentic workflows, automation frameworks, or decision engines.

• Domain knowledge in retail, commerce, supply chain, or large operational ecosystems.

• Background in high-growth product startups or big tech scale environments.
