Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior Retail Pharmacist to join our team in Mysuru. This is a full-time, fixed-term role appropriate for candidates with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience. As a Retail Pharmacist at Reliance Retail, you will play a pivotal role in delivering pharmaceutical care, ensuring compliance, and supporting our commitment to superior customer service within our pharmacy division.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in medication dispensing (Mandatory skill), ensuring accurate and safe provision of prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers.
  • Experience in prescription processing, including reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, checking dosages, and preventing drug interactions.
  • Demonstrated skill in patient counseling, providing information on medications, potential side effects, and promoting medication adherence.
  • Knowledgeable in maintaining accurate record keeping, handling documentation for purchased and dispensed drugs, and adhering to legal requirements.
  • Effective inventory management abilities, including monitoring stock levels, checking expiration dates, and ensuring timely replenishments.
  • Strong team collaboration skills, working seamlessly with colleagues, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy-related regulatory guidelines and best practices to maintain compliance and uphold pharmacy standards.
  • Strong communication skills to interact respectfully and empathetically with customers, colleagues, and healthcare partners in a diverse retail setting.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescription medications accurately and in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines, prioritizing patient safety at all times.
  • Process prescriptions by reviewing them for correctness and ensuring potential drug interactions or contraindications are identified and communicated.
  • Engage in patient counseling, offering comprehensive guidance on dosage, storage, side effects, and proper medication usage.
  • Ensure meticulous record keeping of all pharmaceutical transactions and maintain thorough documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor, manage, and replenish inventory, ensuring the availability of pharmaceutical products, and maintaining accurate stock records.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team, store staff, and healthcare professionals to deliver high-standard service and enhance the pharmacy operations.
  • Provide exemplary customer service, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Adhere to pharmacy protocols, health and safety standards, and company policies to provide a safe, compliant, and positive pharmacy environment.
