Job Title: Asst Store Manager
Reporting To: Store Manager
Job Summary:
The Store Manager is responsible for the overall operations, profitability, and customer satisfaction of the supermarket, including management of online orders and deliveries. The role involves leading the store team, ensuring stock availability, smooth billing, customer engagement, and operational excellence across both offline and online channels.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Store Operations:
- Oversee daily in-store operations and ensure smooth functioning.
- Maintain proper stock levels, display standards, and store hygiene.
- Ensure timely billing, replenishment, and product availability.
- Conduct daily floor checks for quality, cleanliness, and service standards.
2. Online Order Management:
- Monitor and manage all online orders (through apps, websites, or aggregator platforms).
- Coordinate with delivery partners and in-store pickers for timely order fulfillment.
- Ensure accuracy in order picking, packing, and delivery timelines.
- Track daily online sales, pending orders, and customer feedback.
- Resolve online customer issues and maintain service quality for digital customers.
3. Sales & Profitability:
- Drive both in-store and online sales to achieve monthly targets.
- Analyze sales data and implement strategies to increase revenue.
- Optimize operational costs and control wastage/shrinkage.
- Support promotional campaigns and online/offline offers.
4. Team Management:
- Supervise, train, and motivate staff including floor associates, cashiers, and online pickers.
- Prepare staff rosters ensuring adequate coverage for store and online operations.
- Conduct performance reviews and promote teamwork.
5. Customer Service:
- Ensure excellent customer service across all touchpoints (store and online).
- Handle escalations, complaints, and feedback effectively.
- Build strong relationships with repeat and high-value customers.
6. Inventory & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate stock levels and monitor inventory movements.
- Conduct regular audits to minimize stock variance.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, EHS, and local regulations.
7. Reporting & Coordination:
- Submit daily sales, stock, and manpower reports to management.
- Coordinate with vendors, HR, accounts, and delivery partners.
- Track attendance and leave records for store staff.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and multitasking abilities.
- Experience in online order management and last-mile coordination.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound knowledge of retail operations, inventory, and POS systems.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
