Job Overview
We are seeking a diligent and proactive Apparel Manager to join Reliance Retail’s team at the mid-level. This full-time role is based across Hubballi, Haveri, Gadag-Betageri, Vijayapura, and Bidar. Applicants should have up to 6 years of relevant work experience and a strong passion for excellence in retail operations and apparel merchandising.
Qualifications and Skills
- Retail Operations (Mandatory skill): Demonstrated experience in managing store operations specifically in apparel retail environments, ensuring seamless daily functioning and customer satisfaction.
- Visual merchandising: Adept at implementing and maintaining creative product displays that drive sales and enhance the in-store customer experience.
- Inventory management: Strong capabilities in tracking stock levels, optimizing inventory turnaround, and reducing shrinkage for robust store performance.
- Team leadership: Proven ability to motivate, coach, and supervise retail staff to achieve targets and foster a collaborative working atmosphere.
- Merchandise buying: Experience in sourcing, selecting, and purchasing apparel products in line with customer preferences and sales trends.
- Demand planning: Skillful in analyzing sales data, forecasting demand, and managing assortment planning for maximum profitability.
- Customer service: Commitment to delivering excellent customer service, resolving complaints, and building customer loyalty in dynamic retail settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Capable of effectively engaging with customers, team members, and management while handling negotiations and feedback efficiently.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee the comprehensive apparel department operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, timely replenishment, and store presentation standards are consistently met.
- Develop and execute innovative merchandising strategies to highlight key apparel offerings, drive footfall, and maximize revenue.
- Manage inventory processes including ordering, receiving, stock rotation, and loss prevention, implementing best inventory practices.
- Supervise and train a dynamic retail team; schedule staff to meet optimal coverage and guide them in achieving store goals and KPIs.
- Coordinate closely with buying teams to select merchandise aligned with local market and customer trends, ensuring up-to-date and appealing offerings.
- Monitor sales analytics and implement demand planning to ensure product assortment aligns with customer demand and inventory budgets.
- Foster superior customer service culture by coaching staff on providing prompt, courteous, and personalized support to every customer.
- Maintain adherence to company policies, procedures, promotional activities, and visual display guidelines, ensuring the brand image is consistently represented.
