Role

The Landscape Architect will lead the end-to-end landscape design, coordination, and delivery for a flagship 100+ acre public site being developed by Reliance. The role involves driving design excellence, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring execution quality on site, and establishing a landscape vision aligned with Reliance’s goals. Candidates with a background at landscape consultancies like One Landscape, AO Landscape, or those with experience within real estate development organizations are especially encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate has experience delivering very large, complex landscapes — such as urban parks, waterfronts, campuses, or townships — and is skilled in both the conceptual and execution phases of landscape architecture. Experience working at or collaborating with leading landscape consulting firms or large real estate developers is highly desirable for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with appointed external landscape consultants and architects to steer concept design, schematic design, design development, and GFC packages, and ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Guide selection of materials, planting palettes (in collaboration with horticulture teams), furniture, lighting, and hardscape elements.
  • Coordinate with in-house and external architectural, structural, MEP, contractors and other relevant project teams, as needed to drive the project.
  • Review and approve drawings, BOQs, reports, and technical specifications.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to evaluate progress, design fidelity, workmanship, and material compliance.
  • Identify deviations early; guide contractors and PMCs to implement corrective measures.
  • Support procurement teams during tendering: finalizing specifications, evaluating vendors, and reviewing technical submissions.
  • Liaise with regulatory departments, environmental bodies, and statutory consultants for landscape-related approvals.
  • Ensure the landscape contributes to biodiversity enhancement, carbon reduction, and sustainable operations
  • Stay updated on materials, relevant softwares, vendors, and construction technologies.
  • Prepare design review notes, site inspection reports, compliance checklists, and progress reports.
  • Responsible for estimates and budgets, considering materials, labour, equipment and other expenses.
  • Prepare and lead presentations to senior leadership on the design intent and project progress, as and when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, with relevant landscape experience, and/ or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from a recognized institution.
  • Registration with a professional body (ISOLA or equivalent) preferred.
  • Well-versed with AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Photoshop, and other relevant software.

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience designing and delivering large-scale public, institutional, or mixed-use landscapes.
  • Experience with 50+ acre projects required; 100+ acre or public projects preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead consultants and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge of hardscape design, detailing, materials, grading, water features, and softscape integration.
