Job Overview

The Civil Design Engineer position at Reliance Industries Limited is a full-time, mid-level opportunity based in Mumbai. The role specifically seeks candidates with a structural engineering background who have performed actual designing work on reinforced cement concrete (RCC) structures. Duties involve participating in the end-to-end civil design process for multiple large-scale real estate projects, ensuring exceptional quality, innovation, and timely project execution in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven expertise in reinforced concrete design (Mandatory skill), essential for structural integrity and safety of all major civil engineering projects.
• Hands-on experience with structural design methods, encompassing both theoretical understanding and actual RCC design work in real estate developments.
• Proficiency in reinforced concrete projects, including the ability to analyze and validate designs for diverse structural requirements within urban developments.
• Ability to execute steel design, applying engineering principles to create robust frameworks for both commercial and residential structures.
• Extensive working knowledge of Civil 3D software, streamlining design processes and documentation for site development and infrastructure projects.
• Strong command over STAAD.Pro for structural analysis and design, facilitating efficient and compliant engineering solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling resolution of complex engineering challenges through innovation and technical insight.
• Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring seamless integration of design, quality, and safety across all project stages.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop detailed civil and structural design solutions for luxury residential, commercial, and institutional real estate projects in line with project goals and safety standards.
• Perform actual RCC design work, including modeling, analysis, and detailed documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant local and international codes.
• Collaborate closely with architects, MEP engineers, and construction managers to ensure cohesive multidisciplinary project execution.
• Utilize tools such as Civil 3D and STAAD.Pro to create accurate models and validate structural elements for optimized resource allocation and safety.
• Prepare and review construction drawings, material specifications, and technical reports, maintaining meticulous attention to detail for all project documentation.
• Participate in BIM coordination and deployment of advanced technologies for greater design accuracy, efficiency, and sustainability in all assigned projects.
• Conduct site visits and inspections as required to monitor construction progress and ensure alignment with approved designs and specifications.
• Support project schedules by proactively addressing potential design issues, implementing best practices, and ensuring on-time project delivery.
