SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To ensure safe and efficient transfer of crude oil and other cargo between ship and shore by managing the cargo operations in coordination with relevant teams, while adhering to safety standards as per the established regulations & guidelines. Ensuring mooring and unmooring of tankers at SPM.
SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE
Responsibilities
Policies, Processes and Procedures
- Conduct day to day activities & follow all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Keep self abreast with leading practices & trends and contribute to the identification of continuous improvement of systems, processes and procedures
Boarding Operations
01. Ensure that pre-berthing checks of designated SPM are carried out by diving team as per check list and in order
02. Secure and cast off pull back tug at SPM in consultation with pilot
03. Moor and unmoor SPM tankers
04. Connect and disconnect SPM hoses
05. Carry out ship shore safety check list and periodic checks during cargo operation
06. Monitor and reconcile hourly cargo figure
07. Monitor SPM position
08. Maintain effective communication between vessel, tug and shore
09. Ensure compliance of crude oil washing requirement by crude vessel
10. To assist in completion of cargo documentation
11. Impart tool box talks to SPM hose crew
12. Carry out bunker check of crafts
13. Carry out inspection of support crafts
14. Attend berthing and un-berthing of vessels and barges at LOLO jetty

SECTION VI: KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES
Education Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent
Experience (Must have)
1. Experience in underwater and offshore maintenance at SPM for at least 1 year
& should be at least CD 2 diver as per IMCA standard or equivalent Indian Navy standard
Experience (Good to have)
Functional / Behavioral competencies required to execute the role
