Social Media Content Writer – Corporate Communication
Job Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)
- Implementing communication plans for external stakeholders. This includes communicating company initiatives, drafting press releases, updating the company websites and contributing to the company’s external publications.
- Can write copy for social media, create posts, both still and video for the social media.
- Can quickly turnround news, announcements to social media copy and post on the various platforms.
- Understanding of various social media platforms and knowledge about how they work.
- Repurposing existing content to make it relevant for social media on important landmarks and occasions.
- Preparing and managing communication collaterals for the company’s campaigns.
- Ensuring timely and end-to-end management of projects.
- Being the custodian of the Reliance brand and its narratives – must demonstrate an Ownership Mindset and strive for the highest quality.
- Being comfortable working with a cross-functional team.
- Researching, writing and editing articles on a variety of business topics across the RIL group.
- Writing articles about RIL news, business unit highlights, industry focus, RIL or Apex in the press, CSR, HR Communication etc.
- Adapting content for different formats, such as website, press kits, corporate brochure, etc.
- Developing content for interviews.
- Writing long-form copy on business units, leaders, or featured topics.
- Editing and proof-reading copy sent for review by businesses or functions.
- Ideating and contributing to campaigns for business initiatives.
- Writing thematic stories or campaign articles with in-depth research for specific campaign objectives.
- Seeking, contributing, and editing stories for newsletters.
- Taking photos of featured interviewees/subjects and optimising them for the web, if needed.
Skills/Experience Required
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail, proficiency in grammar, strong vocabulary, and familiarity with business writing standards.
- Good knowledge of differences between online writing and print writing.
- Ability to meet strict and tight deadlines.
- Adept at working with multiple stakeholders in complex environments.
- Self-motivated and conscientious.
- 2-5 years of work experience in internal and external corporate communication.
Qualifications
- Formal education in mass communication/media/journalism.
- Bachelor of Arts in Communication, BA in Media & Journalism, BA in Humanities or Liberal Arts.
- Understanding of online publishing platforms or CMS platforms like WordPress.
- Experience in various Writing Style Guides is preferable.
