Job Overview
The Fire Executive (Junior) role is based in Vadodara and offered as a Fixed-Term-Employment for 2 years. The position focuses on professional fire safety, emergency response, and fire management, requiring a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in a similar industrial or fire services environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience of at least 1 year in fire safety, emergency handling, or industrial safety protocols relevant to large-scale industries.
- Proven knowledge of fire prevention methods and relevant safety regulations for petrochemical and oil & gas sectors.
- Strong ability to operate and maintain firefighting equipment, ensuring all systems remain in optimal condition at all times.
- Experience conducting detailed risk assessments to identify and address potential fire hazards throughout plant operations.
- Competence in leading or participating in emergency response operations during fire incidents and mock drills across the facility. (Mandatory skill)
- Understanding of procedures for fire tender operations, including vehicle readiness and maintenance checks before deployment.
- Skill in documenting and compiling detailed incident and compliance reports, as well as routine fire audit checklists for management review.
- Ability to work collaboratively with fire and safety teams and communicate safety initiatives to all operational staff effectively.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and effectively to fire incidents and support ongoing emergency management operations across the facility.
- Conduct regular risk audits and site inspections to detect fire hazards and recommend necessary prevention steps and controls.
- Oversee maintenance and daily readiness of all fire-fighting equipment, fire tenders, and emergency response vehicles.
- Assist in developing and conducting fire safety training and mock drills to ensure preparedness among all personnel.
- Ensure accurate documentation, investigation, and reporting of all fire incidents or near-misses to management and authorities.
- Collaborate closely with plant safety teams to implement and reinforce fire prevention plans and safety policies.
- Maintain up-to-date records of safety audits, routine equipment checks, training sessions, and incident reports as per SOPs.
- Support the implementation of best practices in fire safety, and participate in external or internal safety audits as required.
