Job Purpose
Design, Implement, Maintain, Monitor and Audit multiple Process Control System including, Base level PID control, APCs, RTOs & Blending Systems
Job Accountabilities
· Tune DCS PIDs, analyse and suggest improvements in the base layer regulatory control system, work along with site Instrument engineers.
· Design, Implement, and Maintain Advanced Process Control (APC) Systems
· Configure, Implement, and Maintain Real Time Optimiser (RTO) Systems
· Configure, Implement, and Maintain Refinery Feed & Product Blending Systems
· Design, Configure and maintain Soft sensors for use in APCs and RTOs
· Sustain control system objectives – Ensure Safety constraints, Equipment constraints, Reliability constraints, Quality constraints are not violated, Economic Optimisation is fulfilled, and relevant KPIs are improved
· Install and configure of APC/RTO software and systems
· Integrate & Interface APC/RTO systems with DCS, secure access to stake holders working along with Instrument, IT and Site engineers
· Assist in benefit analysis activity
· Assist in APC/RTO benchmarking and Audit process
· Mentor subordinates & team members and ensure knowledge continuity and transparency
· Stay updated with changes in plant and control system, analyse and correct its impact on existing implementations.
HSE & Other Regulatory Compliance:
· Ensure compliance with HSE procedures
· Ensure compliance with applicable local environmental site, statutory regulations applicable
· Ensure compliance to internal APC/RTO Standard
Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)
· Selected candidates would have in-depth understanding and interest towards learning process technology and plant operations. Sufficient knowledge about equipment design, optimisation, economics, controls, DCS instrumentation, safety interlocks, start-up and shut-down procedures, and other relevant aspects of design, technology and operations.
· Willingness to study, learn, understand new areas of application and work with panel officers, plant engineers, and technical service staff.
· Readiness to travel and stay during projects or postings at various sites.
· Application knowledge of DMCplus, Aspen IQ, ROMeo, PID Tuning, MILANO, Unisim would be favourable.

Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications)
· Min. BE/B Tech in Chemical Engineering from a reputed institute, specialisation in Controls would be favourable
· Min. 4-6 years of work experience in Operations / CTS / Process Control
· Should have aptitude and passion for working with Control systems, APCs & RTOs.
