1.     Monitor and control the budget, devise work plan with adequate resources based on scope, criticality and schedule of projects to ensure adherence to overall business objectives and goals

2.     Drive end to end execution / implementation of strategy through the team based at the design office/project site, so that the organization's vision is translated into action

3.     Collaborate with Business & Segment leadership to identify new initiatives/ projects and set operational plans that meet these future demands

4.     Responsible to actively engage in proposal efforts and collaborate on budget preparation for proposal work to ensure smooth and successful project execution

5.     Monitor & control schedule, progress, flow of design, input design changes, scope changes of the job as per the project requirements

6.     Lead piping discipline for large projects, review and approve key piping deliverables & calculations adherence to quality standards, and ensure successful delivery of the project

7.     Identify major risks involved in projects and suggest mitigation measures to proactively manage potential threats, reduce uncertainties

8.     Communicate the project updates including technical activities, schedules and manpower planning to the project manager

9.     Oversee value engg proposals for cost optimization throughout the course of the project

10. Estimate total material requirements and control mechanisms to ensure effective utilization of resources

11. Interpret prime contracts, determine engineering scope and set up engineering work plan for the department on complex projects

12. Resolve complex technical issues within engineering and with other departments, maintain technical integrity, and facilitate seamless collaboration across various teams

13. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines for seamless flow of input data to avoid rework

14. Understands multidisciplinary technical issues and costs related to selection of complex design features

15. Validate division of responsibilities between various agencies

16. Perform and manage all department activities on large, complex projects to ensure effective coordination, efficient resource utilization, and successful execution
