Job Summary:

The Senior Resident in General Medicine will be responsible for delivering quality patient care, managing inpatient and outpatient services, supporting emergency care, and participating in academic and clinical teaching activities under the supervision of consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor admitted patients in wards, ICU, and HDU under consultant supervision.
• Attend and manage OPD and follow-up clinics.
• Provide emergency medical services and support code blue teams.
• Ensure proper documentation of patient care, histories, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Assist consultants in clinical procedures and diagnostic interventions.
• Participate actively in case discussions, morning rounds, and academic sessions.
• Guide and supervise junior residents, interns, and nursing staff.
• Maintain infection control, patient safety, and clinical protocols as per hospital standards.
• Coordinate with diagnostic and support departments for efficient patient management.
• Any other responsibility as assigned by the Director on the need basis

Eligibility Criteria:

• Qualification: MS / MD / DNB in General Medicine / Internal Medicine from a recognized medical college/institution.
• Registration: Must be registered with the National Medical Commission (NMC) / State Medical Council.
• Experience: Fresh MD/DNB graduates or those with relevant senior residency experience.

Remuneration:

As per hospital/institute policy and experience.
