The Senior Procurement Manager is a mid-level, full-time role based in Jamnagar, responsible for managing procurement operations and strategic sourcing in a healthcare environment. Qualifications and Skills

  • Expertise in healthcare procurement with demonstrated ability to source critical medical equipment, devices, and consumables efficiently (Mandatory skill).
  • Strong contract management experience ensuring legal and regulatory compliance and minimizing organizational risk (Mandatory skill).
  • Exceptional negotiation skills for securing favorable terms with suppliers and vendors aligned with organizational standards (Mandatory skill).
  • Comprehensive understanding of supply chain optimization to streamline processes, reduce lead times, and maximize value from procurement activities.
  • Proven track record in cost reduction initiatives, identifying savings opportunities without compromising quality of medical services or supplies.
  • Capability in strategic sourcing, including developing and executing sourcing strategies for high-performance supplier networks and sustainable procurement practices.
  • Proficiency in process improvement to drive operational efficiency, enhance policy implementation, and support continuous improvement efforts within procurement.
  • Experience with inventory management, leveraging technology to maintain optimal stock levels, monitor usage patterns, and reduce waste across the hospital’s departments.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement operations, establishing best practices to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of medical products, equipment, and services.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements, manage contracts, and ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory guidelines, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with medical, administrative, and support teams to fulfill requirements and manage vendor relationships for critical healthcare supplies.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to build a robust supplier base, promoting transparency, sustainability, and reliability in the supply chain.
  • Drive cost reduction and value improvement initiatives while maintaining service quality, safety, and statutory compliance in procurement.
  • Monitor inventory management processes, balance stock levels, and prevent shortages or overstocking that may impact patient care or cost efficiency.
  • Utilize data analytics and market intelligence to evaluate supplier performance, identify trends, and implement continuous procurement process enhancements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a procurement team to instill best practices, optimize workflows, and ensure ongoing professional growth within the function.
